Tori Burnie served as our Founding Board President from July 2016 to July 2019. She continued to serve a term as Past President and generously completed her board service in January 2021. We are so grateful for Tori’s support and excited that she will continue to assist with marketing and fundraising efforts as a member of our Outreach Committee.
Tori was one of the first people consulted when Aging UP was just an idea. Upon this inquiry, she disclosed her personal experience in the foster care system and gave enthusiastic support that such services are needed, especially for older youth. When the time came to form the board, she immediately topped the list of candidates.
Tori is a Marketing Producer at ABC10, a top 20 local news station that serves the Sacramento-Stockton-Modesto area. She is responsible for promoting the station throughout ABC10’s social and digital media channels, in addition to serving station clients and promoting the station’s content through local partnerships and other media.
She graduated from Sacramento State with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications. She began her career in public relations and was a longtime volunteer for a PR association in Sacramento.
During her free time, Tori enjoys her adorable dog, dining with friends and enjoying Sacramento amenities.
